Parakletos

I learned a new word last night - Parakletos (par-ak'-lay-tos) which means counselor, advocate, and intercessor. I thought it was an interesting word.

Jesse and I have been reading a devotion each morning and one each night to start and end our days. Parakletos was in our reading last night.

Dr. Report: My surgeon has scheduled my surgery for March 3rd at the downtown Santa Rosa Hospital at 7:30 am. I think the Santa Rosa Hospitals are some of the best in the city. The staff seems to be so caring. So I am happy with the choice.

I'm glad you now have a date. I know you are ready for this next step in your return to better health. I will be praying for you. I've always heard that hospital is great. Years ago Dad and Grandad were there and received great care. I'm glad to know it has maintained that reputation. Ya'lls garden looks wonderful - it is fun to plant and watch things grow and the homegrown things taste so much better.

Good deal and I know you are ready to get it over with. I will let mom know because she keeps asking about you. I told her I would keep her posted. Out prayers are there with you for sure.Glad you are feeling good about the hospital. That surely helps matters.

I'm so thankful the surgery is scheduled. Wow...it will be so good and is definitely a step to getting back to normal.

I've done devotions from time to time but righ now am following a program to read through the Bible in one year. I shouldn't be surprised but the Lord gives me what I need from that scripture each day I read.

Mary Ann, I know you have great doctors and the Santa Rosa hospitals are fantastic! Mom was in the downtown one and so was Wesley when he had his broken leg and in traction for three weeks when he was five. I spent a little time in the one out at the medical complex! Just know that if there is anything I can do for you, you just need to call!

Maryann I have been wondering how you were dong. Glad to hear about the surgery. Who is your surgeon? I had my surgery at Santa Rosa...We have a lot on our plates at the moment but I hope that after all the dust settles, we can get together and have an opportunity to meet each other. Good Luck with the surgery.

    Hugs to you

    Thanks for the comments!

Ruthie, Dr Mayoral will be helping with my surgery and he prefers the Santa Rosa, so that's why I'll be there. I would love to get together with you for lunch one day. Just let me know when you are ready.
